AGL is in search for a Full Time CDL driver to work out of our Clifton, NJ location.

The driver will efficiently deliver products to local and regional customers. The driver loads, unloads, delivers, and returns compressed gas cylinders, liquid gas cans and hardgoods while frequently interacting with customers.

Main responsibilities include:

• Safely loads, unloads and delivers cylinders containing compressed gases to customer locations.
• Establishes and maintains good customer relations. Listens to and helps resolve service inquiries and complaints.
• Maintains load manifests and all required vehicle documents, ensuring they are properly completed and balanced with truck counts and shipping documents before and after deliveries.
• Performs cylinder inspections.
• Ensures all safety rules are strictly observed.
• Employee may perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Class A or B Driver’s License with HAZMAT.
• Driver must meet all physical qualification standards imposed by the DOT.
• At least 1 year of driving experience.
• Ability to clearly and effectively speak to customers.
• Will regularly stand and walk for an extended period of time, bend, use hands and arms, must be able to handle cylinders regularly weighing 200 pounds, up to a maximum of 2,500 pounds.
• Will be exposed to outside weather conditions.

AGL Welding Supply Co, Inc. is looking for a Collector to join our team. The AGL Industrial Collector position is responsible for the collection, and customer service of their assigned accounts. The assigned accounts range anywhere from 600-1,000 accounts, and are assigned alphabetically by branch.

This position is responsible for the ongoing review, and monitoring of their accounts, specifically delinquent accounts that are beyond their terms and credit limit. This position requires the initiation of contacting customers by calling, emailing, and sending letters to ensure payments are made within terms/credit limit, as well as maintaining appropriate computer and customer records/dunning notes, and releasing of orders as needed and/or warranted. This position will also be responsible for maintaining good customer relationships, effective and accurate communications, providing customer analysis of their accounts when warranted, and/or required, resolving any unapplied payments, attaining monthly goals, preparing and executing payment arrangements/settlements, researching and resolving all customer service issues, disputes &, billing discrepancies, including but not limited to; ensuring accurate purchase order maintenance, pricing issues, cylinder discrepancies, missing or misapplied payments, tax discrepancies, lost cylinder billing, and late lease payments all to expedite payments and to provide excellent customer service.

Main responsibilities include:

• Collect on assigned account, and maintain all assigned accounts within their terms/credit limit.
• Review unapplied payments to ensure all missing remittances are received to accurately apply customer’s payments.
• Provide reconciliation, and audit of cylinder discrepancies when warranted and/or required.
• Communicate effectively and accurately to customers, management, internal and outside sales department of the status of accounts when warranted and/or required.
• Work to increase the number of assigned accounts to receive electronic invoices, and monthly auto credit card billing.
• Make good and reasonable business decisions when releasing orders based on the status of the receivables of the account.
• Provide excellent communications both verbally and in written format.
• Interact and communicate professionally with all levels of employees and departments.

General Laborer/Cylinder Maintenance Technician

AGL is in search for a Full Time General laborer/Cylinder Maintenance Technician to work out of our Clifton, NJ location.

The Gas Cylinder Maintenance Technician will perform the cylinder requalification and repair process. They will manually move industrial gas cylinders to different retest areas and loads/unloads cylinders from trucks. 

Main responsibilities include:

• Perform cylinder cleaning, painting and general maintenance daily.
• Identify and sort cylinders for efficient retesting and handling.
• Safely load/unload compressed and liquid industrial gas cylinders to and from delivery trucks to testing and storage areas.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and as needed.
